School Calendar for 2008 - 2009:

Grade levels:

ACA offers full instruction for grades

Kindergarten - Grade 12.

 

Combination classes

There will be no combination classes

in Grades K - 6.

Grades 7 - 12 are departmentalized.

Academic standards at ACA:

We are committed to using a tough curriculum and we have high expectations for both faculty and students. We provide a top-notch, Christ-centered education for the children of Robeson and surrounding counties. ACA is seen as a leader in education.

 

Curriculum:

A Beka is our basic curriculum resource.

 

Subjects / Courses:

Students in the lower grades (K-6) receive instruction in all of the basic educational disciplines plus Bible. Students in the upper grades (7-12) are instructed in courses that meet the North Carolina requirements established for college bound students.

 

Our Gator mascot:

The area around the Church and the Academy is a bit swampy, and sometimes alligators are seen, along with other water-loving wildlife. With the lighthouse logo expressing our desire to share Christ with the world, the Gator shows that we have a sense of humor and that we are happy in our swampy environment.

 

 

Tuition:

Tuition Per Family for 2008 - 2009

(Kindergartin - Grade 12):

First child: $3,000;

Second child: $2,000;

Third child: $1,000;

Fourth child: $0;

(Note 1: Options are available for payment, incuding a monthly payment plan.)

Athletic program:

Yes, sports will be available for students in grades 7-12. Specific sports will be added as our enrollment increases.

 

Bus service:

Bus service is not available at this time.

 

Lunch:

Students are responsible for bringing their own lunches. On certain days (noted on our school calendar) pizza, hamburgers, and other special lunches are available from outside sources. These are ordered through the school office and paid for in advance by the students ordering.

 

Uniform:

The ACA dress code requires a uniform consisting of a polo, oxford, or fleece with the school logo monogrammed on it, along with khaki slacks or skirts. Shirts are available in all sizes and many colors, and must be ordered through the school office. All other clothing can be purchased from any source the parent desires, but there are strict parameters about the style and fit of all clothing.

Antioch Christian Academy is an educational institution which strives to assist parents and churches in the task of training young people in reaching their fullest potential  - spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

Statement of Faith

1. We believe in personal salvation by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, which He shed on the cross of Calvary for remission of sins for all who believe.

2. We believe that the Bible is the plenary, verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God.

3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was raised bodily from the tomb and now sits at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven, making intercession for all born-again believers.

4. We believe that Christ will return bodily to call His church unto Himself.

5. We believe in the eternal security of the born-again believer.
